  1. The no derivatives clause is kind of funny, I think it legally stops developers from using your graphics no ?

  2. The no derivatives clause is to discourage people from opening the files, changing the colour of the sprites trousers and then declaring them 'original' artwork. Hopefully it won't discourage people from incorporating the graphics into their projects.

  3. the attribution stops them from doing so! You're just forbidding people to change the content :(

  4. Ahh, we don't want any sad faces! I'm not going to get bent out of shape if people want to shift pallets and make tweeks to the tiles for use in there own games, but If there are particular things people would like to see I am happy to take requests.

  5. Hello, congratulations Thomas, your tile work is indeed wonderful and is probably the most beautiful 8bit artwork of the kind. About the license however it's confusing. It's fine and fair that no one wins money with your work, however the license above contradicts legally what you said about you tweak a bit or change colors. Perhaps should be more correct issue instead a SA (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/) license like for example Oddball (http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=8834.0) did? Indie Gaming community usually takes too serious licenses and don't like to cross "borders". Have fun in your projects and I hope see you keep this doing amazing work.

    1. Hi fella, clicking the link should take you through to a google docs page with download links for all the files - most of the graphics are stored in 3 png files, montsers, assets and levels. If you you cant see them let me know and I can email the files to you.

  7. That CC license means this can't be used in people's projects if it's modified at all. It's really not an appropriate license for game artwork.

I'd suggest you just make it CC-BY-SA. That would let people use it in commercial games.
